After John resigned from the Police service ~1945, they moved to Guilsborough, Northamptonshire and ran a Post Office ans General Store for 10 years and then moved to Chorley Wood (sic), Hertfordshire where they initially ran the Post Office and then a Sandwhich Bar until they retired in 1969.
